Montmorency County Inmates lodged in Alpena County Jail: 10
Jan. 16
9:11 p.m.: Dispatched received a complaint that a vehicle had hit an owl on M-33 North. There was damage to the vehicle, an officer responded and took the report. The owl flew off before the officer arrived.
11:54 p.m.: Officer responded to a welfare check of an elderly female in Albert Twp. The subject was located and found to be ok.
Jan. 17
12:57 p.m.: Officer responded for a welfare check of a female in Hillman Twp. The female was located and found to be ok. While officers where at the residence a male subject was arrested for parole violation and taken to Alpena County Jail.
6:06 p.m.: A DNR Officer responded to a two-vehicle accident on County Rd 612. A female from Lewiston was taken into custody for operating while intoxicated.
11:46 p.m.: Alpena County Dispatch notified dispatch that they had an officer on a traffic stop with a subject with multiple warrants out of MCSO. The male subject from Lachine was taken into custody and lodged at the Alpena County Jail.
Jan. 18
4:17 a.m.: Deputies transported two inmates to Jackson Prison that had previously been sentenced.
2:32 p.m.: A welfare check was requested on a Briley Township resident, no one was at the residence; homeowner later called and states she was out and is fine.
6:20 p.m.: Dispatch received a 911 hang-up; Law enforcement when to the address where the 911 call came in from–the residents were found to be fine and were just experiencing a phone issue.
Jan. 19
8:48 a.m.: A resident of Avery Township came into MCSO to report someone had stolen his portable ice shanty from his yard, deputies along with DNR CO’s were advised.
11:34 a.m.: A passerby called to report a semi that was jack knifed in the road just east of McCormick Lake Rd, deputies responded to the scene, the truck had left the scene prior to their arrival.
11:57 a.m.: A single vehicle slide with minor damage was reported, a deputy responded to the scene and took the report.
1:41 p.m.: A MSP Trooper on her way home called to report a low hanging wire over Co Rd 491 near Gamble Rd. Vienna Fire responded to the scene, it was found to be a Frontier line.
1:43 p.m.: A welfare check on a Hillman Township resident was requested, deputies responded to the residence. The subject was found to be fine.
8:11 p.m.: A neighboring jurisdiction arrested a female subject on a warrant out of Montmorency County; subject was lodged at Alpena County Jail.
Jan. 21
5:42 a.m.: Officers responded to a vehicle still running stopped at the stop sign on County Rd 487 cross of County Rd 612. Officers arrived to find a male sleeping in the vehicle. He was issued a citation.
9:39 p.m.: Hillman Fire Dept responded to a residence in Rush Lake Subdivision for a carbon monoxide detector going off. All units cleared at 10:45 p.m.:.
Jan. 22
7:27 p.m.: An officer did a welfare check of an elderly female on Harwood Rd. The subject was at home and found to be ok.
7:33 p.m.: An officer responded to a report of damage to a business in the Village of Hillman. Upon arrive the officer found the back of the building hit by a vehicle and the wall/door pushed in about a foot. Nothing appeared to be missing from the building.
